Why Vacation at Courts??

Many don't even know that our court and judges enjoy summer vacation like school/ college. Supreme court will be closed for 45 days, while high courts and other courts will be closed for about a month in May-June!!!!

While millions of cases are pending in courts and people are fed-up with "Tarikh pe Tarikh" culture, Is this justified??

While all government offices remain open throughout the year except public holidays and week-end- why the courts are exception?

The root of this tradition goes back to British time, when english judges would go to hill stations in summer to beat high temparatyre of Indian cities- but with the advent of Air-conditioned and many other facilities, do judges really need vacations to beat summer?

We go to courts with PIL for any injustice we see, but here injustice is by courts, where we can go?

Courts don't want to curtail their privilege of having paid vacation, although its criminal injustice to we, people of India where justice is always delayed, if not denied and as everybody knows "Justice delayed is justice denied". Shouldn't we start peoples movement to stop this colonial practice?

Afterall, they are also getting same salaries and perks as other government employees and working for same number of hours- why then this discrimination?

Its really surprising that no government employees' association raise their voice against this? May be, I am not aware of it, if indeed somebody raised voice against this totally wrong practice.

Please give your opinion.
